Understanding how to say I am frustrated

Suggested Difficulty (Elementary etc): ____Intermediate
Video or Audio: ____Either
Lesson Idea: Hi @Constance_Fang and Team, I have been studying Chinese for over 9 years. I have a Chinese wife. We speak 50% Chinese and 50% English at home. I am often frustrated when either of us can’t get our meaning across. I can not find a Chinese word that means frustrated. There seem to be several words used but not one specific word. Could you please develope a lesson to cover frustration? Regards Kevin Howard

Sounds like a good topic to dive into. Off the top of my head a word that I think of for frustration is 很挫折 or perhaps an even better one is 挫折感. It’s important to get these words correctly and I see the importance of distinction.

Thank you Grace. Frustration is a hard word to use. Many people mistakenly think you are angry.

I feel like even in English describing the difference of being angry or frustrated is something to be careful of discerning.

I agree, I was born in England, have lived in Australia for 50 years and even I find it hard to define frustration.
