The difference of 饼干 and 零食

Hi ChinesePod team, my question is this:
How to differentiate 饼干 and 零食, somehow I watch some movie, they call tit-bits as 饼干?
I am confuse of this 2 words usage. Please advise

饼干 [bǐnggān] refers to only cookies or crackers, whereas 零食 [líng shí] refers to the broad category of snacks. So 零食 can include candies, chips, cake, cookies… etc.
